WIR-V1.1 is dedicated to the localisation, collection, and sorting of fibre-containing waste from various industries and locations. A circular, digitally supported recording system is being designed, implemented, and established, thereby initiating and building the circular management of fibre-containing waste or recyclables, with particular consideration of new business models. WIR-V1.1 thus makes an essential contribution to the consolidation of fibre-containing material flows, which will, for the first time, represent economic relevance in the region “Elbtal Sachsen”.
Results to date
- Platform for a digitally supported recording system to consolidate the quantities of carbon fibre-containing waste originating from production (pending)
- Development of new business areas to strengthen the resilience of existing companies through cooperation and new points of contact in the circular and resource economy (pending)
- Concept for a market-oriented profit balancing mechanism within horizontal cooperation in logistics
- Development and testing of approaches for the identification, collection, and sorting of carbon fibre-containing waste at recycling centres
- Identification of waste sources, sinks, and environmental impacts or balances in the handling of carbon fibre-containing waste in logistics
