WIR-V1.7 | Education and training: future offerings for career entrants

Results to date

• Classification of all 50 institutions for education and training whose curricula have a direct connection to the circular economy and resource management (by location, subject area, reach, qualification level, relevance, current offerings, and methodology via publicly accessible platforms)
• Evidence that, on the one hand, topics related to the circular economy and resource management are becoming increasingly important in education and training, but on the other hand, the handling of fiber-containing waste is not yet sufficiently addressed (recording of the structure, current and future offerings, content, success factors, and interest in collaboration with regional stakeholders via survey)
• Identification of suitable interfaces for teaching content on handling fiber-containing waste, which are not yet (sufficiently) considered in the framework curricula of the 50 relevant subject areas of the respective occupational fields
• Concept for education and training to implement the still outstanding and essential teaching content on handling fiber-containing waste in the context of the circular economy and resource management
• Pilot application of an education- and training-oriented transfer of knowledge and technologies for handling fiber-containing waste for the partners from the WIRreFa project (pending)
